ロリー湖から追放された (1)

Rolley Lake, historically used by the Stó꞉lō Peoples, was a popular logging area. Although some non-Indigenous settlers established a homestead on its shores in 1888, no formal community developed. In the 1920s, the lake served as a holding pond for a cedar shingle bolt operation. After most of the cedar on the surrounding mountain was logged, activity declined. Logging resumed in the 1930s with two Japanese Canadian companies—Fraser Logging Company and Fernridge Lumber Company—and a sawmill.
Although the companies had camps at Rolley Lake, some Japanese Canadians lived in Stave Falls.
